This beautifully completed work is a Keter Needlepoint Canvas featuring the "Asher Window" design, inspired by Marc Chagall's renowned "Jerusalem Windows" stained glass series. This particular canvas, labeled KSN39, is made of 100% cotton and was hand-printed in Israel. The dimensions are 18 inches (45.7 cm) tall and 14 inches (35.6 cm) wide with at least a 1.5 (3.8 cm) inch border for framing. This completed needlepoint piece is in excellent condition with no fraying of the needlework or stains.
The design replicates one of the twelve stained-glass windows created by Marc Chagall in 1959 for the Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center synagogue in Jerusalem. Each window represents one of the biblical Twelve Tribes of Israel, with this one specifically for the tribe of Asher.
