The hand-decorated porcelain plate depicts two vibrant tropical parrots perched on a branch, surrounded by lush green leaves and large white flowers with warm ochre centers. The plate has an elegant scalloped, octagonal shape with a delicate gold trim along the rim. This discontinued pattern is a wonderful piece for collectors of Takahashi porcelain or for anyone looking to add a touch of vintage flair to their decor. Made in Japan.

• History: The Takahashi "Tropicale" pattern is considered vintage and is generally dated to the 1970s. Takahashi Trading Company operated from 1945 until 2019, importing high-quality Japanese ceramics and other goods. Other Takahashi products are sometimes dated more specifically, with some items from the "Elan" collection listed as being from 1984.
